NFL Blitz finale

After a 2 week absence during CNY, NFL Blitz finally completed its run last week (i think? I could've sworn the media reported there would be 16 episodes in total but last week's Episode 15 look like it was the finale?)

Episode 14 saw Mayday and Ding Dang visiting a Mainland student's (lucky duck!) flat at Virginia Tech, pitting their gaming skills against each other. And because this is a NFL program, naturally the band would be playing a NFL game [Madden NFL] No surprise which team lost (again)

KL DNA concert 2010

News was released this morning on the KL DNA concert. It will be held at Bukit Jalil (Putra Indoor Stadium) on Saturday 5 June 2010, which is the weekend after the DNA Unlimited HK concerts on 28 and 29 May 2010. No official announcement yet on the HK DNA Unlimited gigs though. My friend in HK told me Mayday may add 3 shows for the HK stop, but that's just a rumour.

As for the KL DNA concert, I've been told ticket sales will start this month end.

Mayday X Wynners

I had no idea The Wynners were still around and touring. I have vague memories of them from the 80's. I can only remember Kenny Bee from the Wynners cos mom is always talking about his problems with his ex-wife LOL

They had a concert at Taipei Arena last night and Mayday made a special appearance onstage performing 愛情陷阱 and 溫柔. 

DNA tickets in the mail

My US DNA concert tickets have arrived safely in England :) Thanks sunset2712 for the below photo. I finally have a snapshot of all the tickets together. I shall have my hands on them soon.. on 2 April when I get to New York city haha!

Complicated arrangement eh? The ticket bookings were all done by Elly, my homie in Boston and mailed to sunset2712, my homie in Sheffield because Elly couldn't meet up in Mohegan to pass me the tickets and I figured it'd be safer to have the tickets mailed to sunset2712 in England (since sunset2712 is meeting me in NYC to embark on the US DNA concert tour together) than have them mailed halfway round the world here. Not that I don't have faith in our local postal service, but with concert tickets, one can't be too careful.

Ash live at Santos Party House - New York

Just my darn luck. I flipped out when I saw DMH's post in Facebook: Ash's gig at Santos Party House, NYC on Saturday 3 April 2010. Why is the Ash NYC gig on the night that I'm catching a bus to Mohegan Sun? Fate is so cruel.

It's such a rare opportunity for me to be in a city halfway round the world where one of my favourite Britpop band is having a gig. At a small venue no less, and to rub salt into the wound, the gig ticket costs only US$8. (!!!!!!) That's dirt cheap!!

Mayday LA concert contest

I just came to know two nights ago that StarZone are running a raffle/lucky draw on their website. The bad news is, it appears to be open only to fans who have purchased a concert ticket to the LA concert at Gibson Amphitheater on 10 April 2010.

I will be submitting an entry as soon as I get my concert ticket # (as I'm typing this, my ticket is in a UPS package somewhere crossing the North Atlantic Ocean from Boston to Sheffield, England)

On the news front, the past week saw Mayday performed in Kaohsiung at a lantern festival (click here for photos) and the release of the song SHERO by S.H.E written by Ashin.

The band will be attending the Wynners' concert in Taipei Arena this Saturday 13 March 2010. This is one concert my folks would love to see.

五月天 at Fish's Taipei wedding.. but where's Masa?

Fish Leung had her wedding in Taipei yesterday which was attended by some of her famous friends including Michael Wong, Penny Tai, Ping Guan, Fan Fan, and Mayday who were represented by Ashin, Guan You and Stone who had brought along a big red packet for her. Ex-boyfriend Masa was noticeably absent (haha) and is reportedly travelling in France (is that a convenient excuse? XD)

DNA San Jose ticket

The final piece of the American DNA concert ticket have finally arrived! That's the San Jose concert on 11 April, which is the last of the four American concert, though it was the first to be announced. And funnily enough, the last of the ticket to arrive in the mail. Whatever took them so long. And they've yet to announce the signing session, which I'm told is tentatively on 7 or 8 April.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth

It's been such a long while since I last played the DS. I dusted off the ol' DS (which isn't even mine haha) and got cracking on the newly released Ace Attorney Investigation. Looking back, I had been anticipating this game since October 2008. Back then they had used the working title "Perfect Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth" for the Edgey spin-off, which I like better than the current one.

It was good to see so many familiar loveable characters - from Franziska von Karma, Larry Butz to Wendy Oldbag etc. I was half expecting to see Phoenix Wright, but I suppose there was no reason for him to appear in it. Edgey-poo even has a sidekick now, like how Phoenix had Maya.

The basis of the game is similar to the Ace Attorney series, minus the courtroom action. The biggest difference is that there are now 'miniature' versions of the characters that the player is able to move about in the game during "Investigation". Gameplay feels longer than the last Apollo game I played (or maybe cos I haven't played an Ace Attorney game in ages..) Episode 5 felt like it was neverending LOL but it was a great complicated plot that stretched through 3 episodes. All in all this is a good play and one not to be missed by fans of the series
