Archie gets married

I've been reading Archie comics for as long as I can remember, though I eventually grew out of it as they got too expensive to buy. The comic has been around for ages. Wonder if it's still popular these days..

In issue #600 (they've come a looong way) Archie got down on his knees and proposed to Veronica. About time - the Archie-Veronica-Betty love triangle have been going on for 65 years now! Somehow I've always knew that Archie would pick Veronica over Betty. Aww poor Betty, just look at her expression on the cover of issue #601.

H1N1 strikes back

Just when you thought it's safe to go back out again.

China's Ministry of Health has on Monday, warned of a new round of H1N1 outbreak in the Mainland, as the number of infections continue to rise and the coming of winter may bring the number of infections up. Taiwan too, is bracing for a second wave of the H1N1 epidemic *yikes!*

In light of the current outbreak in China, Leehom has postponed his upcoming Quanzhou concert.

Unwell

This blog has been quiet for the past few days, and I was gonna blame it on lack of Mayday news.. but the truth is that I was sick to the bone.

There's news on Mayday's Tokyo D.N.A concert here (if you can read Japanese..). They will be heading to Singapore next to attend this Friday's Hit Awards.

I ♥ my Converse

After almost 3 years of abuse, my trusty pair of chucks is starting to wear out. The sides of the edge seal is cracking in a couple of places...

I contemplated buying a new pair of chucks, but they didn't have any new design that I like, so I ended up with a new pair of Nike.

Wore them last weekend and almost ended up with blisters after walking for hours. The leather is stiff o_O They say it takes time to break in a new pair of shoes and I need to break them in by next month without having to wear them everyday! Wonder if mom would mind wearing them for her daily morning walk.. XD

I never had any problem breaking in my chucks when they were brand new and they are definitely the most comfortable footwear I've ever owned.

Yahoo Taiwan recently conducted a public opinion poll to determine who are Taiwan's 'shuai ge' [誰是全台「第一大帥哥」？]. The poll closed sooner than I expected, I only managed to cast one vote...

Takeshi Kaneshiro came out in the top spot (deservingly so). Don't know how Jerry Yan managed get to no. 2. Leehom is at no 9 and my favourite is at no. 10

Weekend enews update

What a weekend. So much enews to digest.

Leehom was in Singapore doing his bid to help boost their retail economy, performing at the grand opening of Orchard Road's latest mall, ION. Over in Taipei, Major Tao closed the curtain to his 5 show Taiwan leg of his DT In Space: The Rock & Talk Show.

And over in Kaohsiung, Mayday paid a visit to the city to attend a press conference and rode on the MRT, which was launched in 2008 (which was still under construction during my last visit to Kaohsiung).
