Mayday (looking rather tired...) were in Beijing today to attend the 2010 CCTV MTV Awards where they picked up an award for 港台最佳組合 and performed 倔強

Tonight's Flora Expo concert 繽紛花博演唱會 attracted 40,000 spectators.

In conjunction with the Taipei Flora Expo which is opening on November 6, up to 8,000 limited edition copies of the Flora Expo compilation CD+DVD will be given away with every donation of at least NT$290. The CD will feature a total of 7 songs from Mayday, Jay Chou, S.H.E, Wu Bai and others

For donations of more than NT$590, one will receive the compilation CD plus the 2,000 only limited edition Flora Expo tee designed by Ashin (pictured on the model below). Err.. I was expecting a better looking tee =X All donation proceeds will go to United Way.

寶島曼波 received it's first airplay over the airwaves of Hit FM yesterday evening. Now I've never heard the original version by the late 洪一峰 [Hong Yi Feng] but I'm lovin' the 五月天 & 洪榮宏 [Hong Rong Hong] version. The song will be featured in the upcoming Hong Yi Feng tribute album titled 戀花 to be released on 22nd October

Hong Yi Feng tribute

In memory of the passing of 洪一峰[Hong Yi Feng] earlier this year, his 3 sons are organising「寶島青春夢」charity concert at Taipei Arena on 27 October which will feature a variety of artists including Jay Chou, Mayday, Elva Hsiao, Crowd Lu and Jeff Chang, amongst others.

Tickets for the concert will be available for free on 20th October at Taipei Arena at 10:00am. For more details click here

Mayday will be performing a rock version of the late Hong Yi Feng's song 寶島曼波, which will preview on Hit FM on the 13th between 7:00 to 9:00pm

Today morning Mayday, ambassadors for the Taipei Flora Exposition 2010 were present at the press conference unveiling the new CF recorded specially for the event titled「2010離開地球表面 - 花漾嘉年華版」

In conjunction with the Expo, a concert [2010 繽紛花博演唱會] will be held on 17/10/2010 from 7:00 to 10:00PM featuring Floral Expo ambassadors Mayday, SHE, Jay Chou, Wu Bai, Lin Chi-lin and performers Magic Power, Lara, Tank, amongst others.
