星巴克與蘇打綠的 Happy Hour cafe tour

Saw this bit of news in the morning and decided almost immediately that I wanna attend. Sodagreen is embraking on a Taiwan Starbucks tour, with stops in Taipei (11th Nov), Taichung (13th Nov) and Kaohsiung (4th Dec).

Sodagreen Starbucks Happy Hour cafe tour ticket price is NTD750 which includes a copy of their upcoming CD titled 《你在煩惱什麼》. Performance will be an hour long and there's a signing session after that! How cool is that?!

This was reported in the news today:

五月天身為專輯製作人，自我要求高，為專心閉關，寧可少賺百萬商演費。日前一度傳出五月天年底將在小巨蛋辦全新巡演，團長怪獸說：「專輯進度大Delay，如果沒新歌，開唱也沒意義。」不惜取消演唱會計畫。

Bad news for those looking forward to the Christmas-New Year concert. *sigh* why did they bave to announce the December concert so early and now break the bad news...

Mr.J 義法廚房 and Mr Qute

I'm not a big fan of Jay Chou but I love desserts. On a rainy afternoon today I found myself craving for cake and ended up at Mr J 義法廚房. It was my first time there. If you don't know, Mr J is a French Italian restaurant owned by Jay Chou. I've long ago heard about Mr.J 義法廚房II located at Taipei Medical University Hospital but never got the chance to dine there.

Located right next to Mr J is Mr Qute, a pastry specialty store. There's a wide variety of cakes to choose from. We ordered two slices of cake - reasonably priced at NT$80 per slice. My slice of black forest cake was topped with a generous amount of chocolate shavings. Yummm.. It was pretty fresh too.

Didn't get to sample the main course today cos we were heading elsewhere for dinner. Next time, maybe?

Mr Qute is located at 台北市大安區光復南路308巷45號. To get there, alight at Zhongxiao Dunhua Exit 3. The restaurant is a short stroll away from the MRT station.

20111009 王力宏《火力全開》簽唱會

Last Sunday I attended Leehom's album signing/王力宏《火力全開》簽唱會 in Ximending. Had to drag myself out of bed at 6am in order to get to the venue early. Once again, as with almost all previous Leehom events, it rained cats and dogs. I was almost drenched (even with brolly and raincoat)

It was the third time I saw Leehom this past month. When I was onstage to get my CDs signed, I said to him "hi, I'm from Malaysia" and he looked at me and replied "Hi, it's good to see you again" **faints**

Happy 100th birthday Taiwan!

Rock 30 concert last Friday held at the Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center in Shanghai.

阿信：從1999年出道至今，我們參加過許多拼盤演唱會，但這是最不像拼盤演唱會的一次，因為從頭到尾，歌手隻有一個名字‘滾石’。這些歌曲記錄了所有關於青春的喜怒哀樂，不管你是幾歲，在這裡都好像把短短的人生重新走過一遍。

10/01/2011 Stay Real Café grand opening

It was a wet rainy day in Taipei but that didn't stop fans from turning up at the Stay Real Café grand opening today. We arrived at about 11:30am and there were about 40+ people already in the line.

Q numbers were distributed at about 1145am (only the first 100 customers will receive the grand opening freebie)

Unfortunately for us, when the Café opened at 12noon, they were only able to seat the first 40 customers. So we had to wait outside for almost an hour - during the grand opening customers were allowed a time limit of 2 hour - and while waiting the shop was kind enough to provide complimentary bottled water to those in the Q.

All coffee on the menu were half priced and the freebie was the Stay Real Café coaster set - kinda lame I know LOL
