Taiwan based sales agent Double Edge Entertainment (得藝國際媒體股份有限公司), scored early Cannes sales as it introduced a slate that includes three music-themed films.

The trio of titles are Spin Kid (電哪吒, pictured), Gangster Rock (混混天團) and MayDay 3DNA (3DNA: 五月天 3D 演唱會電影), a 3-D film which mixes real concert footage with fictional drama.

3DNA was sold on the first day of Cannes to Deltamac (得利影視股份有限公司) for Hong Kong and Galloping Horse (北京小馬奔騰影業有限公司) for Mainland China.

"We also have offers we are considering today from Australian and Korean companies, that's because there are Chinese audiences all over the world and this rock band is like The Beatles of today among Chinese aged 16 to 50," said Double Edge principal Steve Chicorel.
